Bardac's DC drives make
excellent retrofit
drives.
The PL/PLX Series is the most advanced digital DC drive on the market
and
their single phase analog drives are full featured drives including
field
controllers and tachometer feedback. Below are some photos given
to us by our customers of some retrofits they have done. Click on

400 HP Extruder -- Some before & after shots.

100 HP Extruder -- The Bardac PL Series DC Drive was
factory
configured to fit into the old drive enclosure. This used a
custom
power/PL
option from Bardac which included an oversized panel to house existing
circuit breaker. The layout was also modified for top & side
entry
(existing
cables were very short). Installation and startup was very easy.

100 HP Printing Press -- Dual Bardac PL Series DC Drives. The
three blue boxes were replaced with a single enclosure. The
pictures are angled due to the press being in the way.
